**The role**

An opportunity exists for a Laboratory Manager for our GeoAnalytical Lab in Wingfield who will be responsible for managing the laboratory operations. In this role you will be responsible for the effective management, operation, and safety of the laboratory as well as coordinate activities, provide technical support, and oversee staff. Your Day to day could include:

- **QHSE** - Ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditation is kept and managed
- **Operations** - Coordination of day-to-day operational requirements of the testing laboratory and ensure work is completed in a timely manner
- Supervision and management of laboratory staff including training and upskilling of technicians
- **Clients** - Participate in arranging and hosting current client and prospective client visits.
- Ensure that any client complaints are forwarded to the appropriate individual(s) and ultimately resolved in a prompt and professional manner.

**What’s needed?**

Ideally you will have previous experience and the following skillsets:

- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related course
- Quantifiable practical experience in Geochemical Lab is an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new initiatives that improve the department/ organisation
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements;
