Programmed is currently recruiting for Quality Assurance Officer/ Lab Supervisor for our client based in Murarrie. Our client is a leading ingredients supplier to food manufactures.

**Laboratory Supervisor Required**

Programmed is currently recruiting for Quality Assurance officer / Lab Supervisor for our client based in Murarrie. Our client is a leading ingredients supplier to food manufactures.

**Your duties will include and are not limited to**:

- Oversee daily operations in the laboratory and provide overall direction and assistance to personnel working in that department. Supports the company towards meeting companywide goals
- Follow the laboratory's procedures for sample handling and processing and maintaining records of test examinations.
- Finished Food Product Testing and Raw Material Testing; perform competency assessments as required.
- Develops, implements, and monitors operational systems in accordance with state and federal guidelines (i.e. Quality Systems, Personnel training & competency, Proficiency Testing, Documentation Systems).

**To be successful in the position, you will have the following**:

- Prior experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
- Bachelor of Science in biological, physical, chemical, or clinical laboratory science with minimum of 5 years' experience in a food manufacturing high complexity laboratory setting.
- A sound working knowledge and understanding of food safety systems including HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practice programs would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving, organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to take direction and manage your time efficiently.
- High level of proficiency with PC based software programs.
