Banyule City Council, Family & Community Services is seeking a qualified Certificate III Early Childhood Educator who provides a high-quality educational program that meets the needs of children aged from birth to 6 years at Joyce Avenue Children’s Centre.

**About the Role**:
In this role, you will:

- Ensure the provision of a high-quality, innovative educational program that meets the individual needs of children aged from birth to 6 and that all interactions with the children are positive, respectful, and friendly.
- Ensure the care and education program aligns with the Early Childhood Services Philosophy. You are required to ensure a child-safe environment and contribute to a culture of child safety by fulfilling the responsibilities and requirements of Council’s Child Safe Policy and procedures.

**Please note: this permanent full-time role is rostered for 8 hours a day, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break and monthly RDOs.
**Skills, experience and certificates**:

- **Early Childhood Qualification as recognised under Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 - Certificate III.**:

- **Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law Act (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.**:

- **Current recognised Level 2 First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate, with CPR updates completed within the last 12 months.**:

- **Awareness of the cultural needs of families.**:

- **Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.**:

- **Ability to maintain written records and write reports relating to program goals and child development.**:

- **Knowledge and understanding of mandatory Reporting requirements.**:

- **Demonstrated ability to adhere to Banyule City Council values.
