Wahroonga Pre-School is known as St Helena’s hidden gem. It is an inclusive not-for-profit sessional kinder providing quality 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs. It is set in natural surrounds next to Anthony Beale Reserve in Greensborough. The kindergarten is full of character and life with a large outdoor area that the children love to explore. Our program is play based and utilises a combination of both indoor and outdoor based programs with a focus on supporting and extending the children's interests, confidence, curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. We are committed to providing a child safe environment and all staff must demonstrate their ongoing responsibility to ensuring child safety. Wahroonga Pre-School was last assessed in 2022 as 'Exceeding in all 7 Quality Areas'. **Description**
- We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our Three Year Old Kindergarten team in 2026. Our kinder is located in Greensborough and sessions are Monday and Tuesday, 8.30am until 4.00pm with planning on Wednesday. This multifaceted role also includes responsibilities as Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor, offering a rewarding opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute meaningfully to our community based kindergarten service. We are seeking an educator who is committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education in a nurturing, inclusive, and child-focused environment. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced team to create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating space where children are empowered to grow, learn, and thrive. **In this role you will**:

- Work alongside the kindergarten teacher to plan, implement, and evaluate engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children in the three and four year old kindergarten program.
- Support the delivery of a program that values and responds to each child’s individual interests, strengths, and developmental needs.
- Foster a sense of belonging, curiosity, and confidence in every child.
- Collaborate in the ongoing development and implementation of the service’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- As Nominated Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the service in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
- As Educational Leader, guide and support educators in the development and implementation of a high-quality educational program aligned with an approved curriculum framework (VEYLDF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS).

**You will have**:

- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent qualification approved by ACECQA.
- Sound understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated experience working in early childhood education and care services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach to working with children, families, colleagues, and the Committee of Management.
- Capacity to fulfil the responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor as required under the National Regulations.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to continuous improvement.

**Note**: Training and ongoing support will be provided to assist with the responsibilities of the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader roles. This is a part-time contract position for 2026 with potential opportunity to continue on beyond 2026 based on enrolments. **Qualifications**
