Manager, Retail, Solution Architecture

10+ years experience within specific technology domain areas like software development or infrastructure automation on large-scale enterprise workload migrations
- 5+ years in a technical senior management role, developing and nurturing teams of motivated technologists
- Experience in developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformation toward cloud computing
- Experience making key and strategic adjustments to assignments and strategy to optimise results and overcome obstacles
- Strong ability in communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders, customers and internal facing teams.

Being a thought leader who creates and presents content you’ll help the largest Retail companies scale and grow in non-linear ways, using AWS as their building blocks. To do this, you'll partner with internal teams to shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and enable the broad use of AWS within the organisation.

In this role, you will push technology boundaries and will have the opportunity to partner with customers early in their cloud journey and help them scale as well as customers further in their cloud journey where you can have visible and measurable impact in their growth ambitions. Key job responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to accelerate their business outcomes and recommend best-practice cloud architectures in line with their long-term business needs, using your interperson skills to influence a variety of stakeholders from technical teams to executives.
- Drive technical solutions discussions with your customers, diving deep into the details to solve complex technical problems and use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Define and execute on the strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants and consulting/managed services partners).
- Act as a thought leader in the wider community, playing a key role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers, blogs, and running workshops.

Using an informed view of the market with an understanding of emerging technology trends they speed-up innovation across their customer segment.

Externally, they are recognized thought leaders and influence the strategy of our customers. Internally, they earn a reputation of role models and deliver bar-raising guidance to the broader Solutions Architecture team. On a daily basis you will work alongside people who are leading the way in designing cloud bases architecture.
