About the role:
We are a leading provider of technology solutions in the retail and energy sectors, with a strong focus on delivering enterprise outcomes using shared technology platforms. We are looking for a Head of Architecture Practice to lead our Architecture team and drive innovation and continuous improvement within the practice.

What you'll be doing:
- Develop and maintain Architecture practices for Retail and Energy Technology, including the architecture framework, engagement model, governance model, service catalogue, accelerators, and guardrails.- Ensure architecture practices are interlocked with BAU and project delivery processes.- Define enterprise capability models, respective technology roadmaps and strategy for Retail and Energy Technology.- Define the medium-term (up to 18 months) technology architecture and collaborate / contribute to the longer-term Technology strategy and planning activities.- Continuously review and improve the architecture practice (i.e., accelerators, guardrails and ways of working).- Hire, performance manage, and train team members, as well as develop their career plans.- Build strong and collaborative relationships with senior business stakeholders, CTO, GM of Retail and Energy Technology, project delivery, change, and support teams.- Manage the Architecture budget and maintain the relevant cost centre.

About you:
What you'll bring to the role:
- Bachelor of Computer Science or relevant technology-aligned tertiary qualification.- 10+ years’ experience as an Architecture Manager, Practice Lead, or senior Enterprise Architect.- Strong understanding of architecture disciplines and traditional frameworks such as TOGAF plus the evolving role of architecture in an Agile delivery model such as SAFe.-
- Proven experience in contributing to the development of strategic roadmaps and contributing to the development of a technology strategy.- Highly-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including educating and influencing senior stakeholders and negotiating better outcomes.- Demonstrable experience in effective stakeholder management and influencing within a matrix enterprise.- Strong leadership skills creating a culture of collaboration and inclusion providing a safe environment for knowledge sharing.- Passion for Architecture and the ability to clearly articulate the value of architecture.
