**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide empathetic and effective support to clients with PTSD and trauma.
- Follow tailored care plans in collaboration with clients and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and document client progress, including behavioural changes, symptoms, and overall well-being.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities and interventions designed to address trauma and promote recovery.
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to manage their mental health.
- Work closely with caregivers and community resources to ensure comprehensive support.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions and documentation.
- Participate in regular supervision and training to stay current with best practices in trauma and PTSD support.
**Key Requirements**:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience in providing support for individuals with PTSD and trauma-related conditions.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach to client care.
- Proficiency in using case management software and other relevant tools.
- Australian Federal Police Clearance.
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Valid Working Rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc).
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required).
- Smartphone with internet access.
