The Donor & Community Relations team influences new and existing supporters to partner with Youthworks to help see effective ministry to young people in churches, schools and families that orients them to Christ for life. The team combines both fundraising and communications functions to enhance supporter engagement across the organisation, furthering Youthworks’ vision and mission.

**About the role**:
The Donor Relations Assistant is responsible for supporting the Donor and Community Relations team in delivering an exceptional standard of service & care to our supporters by providing efficient and effective administration support.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Processing of donations received by mail, phone, direct deposit, and internet, including data entry to a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and receipting of donations
- Assist with fundraising campaign administrative duties as required
- Contribute to supporter care activities including but not limited to phone calls to thank donors, sending mailouts, etc.

**You will need to demonstrate**:

- 2+ years’ experience in administrative duties and customer service
- Data entry experience, ideally including Salesforce CRM in a non-for-profit context
- Proven experience in identifying and meeting customer needs
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills interacting with team members and external contacts
- Flexible, collaborative, proactive and innovative
- Excellent personal presentation
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and to be flexible to reflect changes in priority
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills (including proficient phone skills) with a focus on providing strong customer service
- A systematic and focused approach to tasks with a strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethos
- A personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation

**Desirable**
- Church-based safe ministry / safe church training programs endorsed by the National Council of Churches in Australia Safe Church Program
- Previous engagement with Youthworks’ various ministries
- Knowledge and experience with Sydney Anglicanism
