**About the role

This position is responsible for the coordination and management of the provision of informed choice regarding patient election for all patients (both public and private) being admitted to Metro North Health. The position includes the supervision of the Patient Option Liaison Officer (POLO) teams at The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH), Caboolture Hospital and Redcliffe Hospital.

About you

Assist in the provision of advice on patient election systems and processes across Metro North Health.
Provide leadership and supervision of POLO staff, including monitoring of staff workloads.
Provide onsite revenue engagement and education between facility stakeholders and MNH Revenue Services.
Manage the daily operational activities of the applicable POLO team which include identifying potential private patients and Medicare ineligible patients, performing inpatient data audits and completion of relevant paperwork to ensure maximum revenue generation for the HHS.
Ensure day to day decision making approaches and problem-solving technique are focused upon achieving quality outcomes and are in accordance with Queensland Health guidelines.
Regularly monitor and review team operations against key patient election and revenue performance indicators i.e. Private Health Insurance Utilisation rates.
