About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our head office team. Reporting directly to our CFO, the Finance Officer is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and efficient financial and administrative support within the organisation. This role ensures that revenue reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliations, and general accounting tasks are processed in line with company policies, procedures, and relevant Australian legislation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the month end process, preparing journals, ensuring revenue allocated appropriately, and running revenue reporting using excel and PowerBI
- Prepare month end balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the preparation of month end reports
- Assist with preparation of bonus calculations and projections
- Assist with the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process
Monitoring accounts payable inbox, coding supplier invoices, prepare new vendor requests
Supporting the business with questions around expense claims (processed through concur)
Monitor and reconcile debtor accounts and follow up outstanding payments.
- Allocate receipts and maintain up-to-date records.
- Assist auditors with queries and documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes.
- Other ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required
Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and/or receivable.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, SAP, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Cert IV or Diploma in Accounting / Bookkeeping (or working towards) preferable but not essential
Understanding of Australian accounting standards and legislation.
Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.
