Junior Legal Assistant

What are we looking for?

**Permanent Full-Time opportunity | Medical Law team | Melbourne office**

We have an exciting opportunity for a positive, energetic and highly motivated Junior Legal Assistant to join the medical law team in Melbourne. This is a Permanent Full-Time position.

The Lawyers in our Medical Law team assist clients who are impacted by medical negligence (also known as medical malpractice). This is the failure from a health-care provider, including GPs, dentists and specialists, to treat clients with reasonable skill and care, causing an injury as a result.

You will be reporting to a busy Lawyer, and as one of the support team members, you will help maintain and drive the success of the department. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work.

This is a not-to-miss opportunity for those who like to take ownership of their work and work hands on with matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Liaising with clients, lawyers and other professionals
- Arranging appointments
- Producing and filing court documents
- Preparing briefs
- Managing a database
- Diary management
- Generating and editing correspondence

What will you bring?

- A Certificate in Business Administration, Diploma and/or experience in the legal field will be highly regarded.
