**The team**

Our People, Spaces and Sustainability (PS&S) team are driving our vision to be the healthiest workplace in Australia. **The role**

As part of the (PS&S) Business Unit and a member of the Customer People Partnering Hub, this role will also manage HR operational activities relating to the employee lifecycle for the frontline client group and work with leaders to manage operational people matters including performance management, disputes and grievances, absence management and return to work.

The People Advisor will partner, coach and advise leaders across the Customer frontline teams. The People Advisor will work to improve leadership capability and deliver practical, commercial, integrated people solutions that ultimately improve the employee experience.

**Your impact**

You’ll be working in a supportive team environment, and day to day your responsibilities may include:

- Deciding if your day is best spent working from home or the office. We don’t go for mandated office attendance here at Medibank, but we will need you to come along to team days and events when they’re on.
- Providing interpretation and counsel to People Leaders on HR Policies, Awards, programs and practices.
- Proactively and commercially managing performance and grievance matters to resolution.
- Thoughtfully managing return to work and absence management cases.
- Effectively delivering and adding value to the People calendar activities through performance and reward review cycles, engagement survey analysis and action planning.
- Bringing a continuous improvement lens to work; we want you to look for opportunities to improve and simplify the way we do things and how we can improve the employee experience and bring them to life
- Taking some time to recharge your batteries and encouraging others to do the same - you might grab a takeaway coffee and head out for a walking catch up with a stakeholder or getting to the gym for a lunchtime class.

We’re searching for incredible humans who are passionate about creating a great employee experience and will blow us away with their confident and strong communication skills. Previous experience as a HR Coordinator or HR Advisor would be highly advantageous, and you’ll be real people person whose expert organisational skills ensure deadlines are met. You will have a naturally pro-active and curious approach to work and thrive on learning and developing your HR skills. This is a role where things can change quickly, so you will be comfortable in pivoting and prioritising as required.
