Multi-national freight forwarder is currently seeking an experienced import sea operations person to join their team and handle the end-to-end processing of import sea freight shipments. To be considered for this role you must have import sea operations experience within the freight forwarding industry.
**Duties & responsibilities include**:
- Job registration
- Monitoring cargo availability and status
- Cargo automation
- Organising & lodging underbond movements
- Finalising invoices to clients and overseas agents
- Third party billings
- Quoting
- Monitoring movement of transhipment cargo
- Collection & handover of delivery orders and EDO's
- Organising and unpacking of FAK groupage containers
- Organising local & interstate road & rail movements
- Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, suppliers and internal staff
**To be successful in this role the following are required**:
- Import sea operations experience within freight forwarding environment essential
- CargoWise / ICS experience highly desired
- Computer literacy in MS Word and MS Excel
- Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
