**About the Role**

As the Commercial Analyst you work within the ASPAC Commercial Team to provide high quality and accurate financial modelling support across all nominated bid opportunities. There is a continuing requirement for experienced commercial finance professionals who can give Serco a competitive edge in bidding an who have the skills to deal with complex problems across the contract lifecycle.

Day to day this means working with bid teams to develop and populate cost models that satisfy internal governance requirements and allows the optimal pricing to be determined to provide to customers alongside our proposed technical solution for outsourced contracts.

In addition to pre-contract activities, the role delivers expert financial modelling skills to Business Units for operational contract support as required. It also provides general ongoing continuous improvement activities for the ASPAC Commercial Team as a whole such as process improvement initiatives, cost model enhancements and the like.

**About You**

You have experience ensuring financial modelling is performed in accordance with best practice, high standards of integrity as well as applicable accounting standards and that cost capture and risk identification is comprehensive. You have experience undertaking a range of quantitative analyst required to develop cost assumptions, understand trends and influence business unit stakeholders to affect outcomes.

To succeed in this position, you demonstrate:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business or another relevant discipline in a numerate field
- Advanced financial modelling skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Commercial operations or bidding experience
- Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant to internationally recognised accounting standard
- Exemplary interpersonal skills shown through ability to influence stakeholders from various disciplines and shape outcomes
- High level of accuracy and analytical ability
- Ability to work autonomously and excellent time management skills

Desirable:

- Experience in the Services/ FM Sector
