**Who we are looking for**

Communication will come naturally to you as you engage with a range of demanding stakeholders, including clients, broadcast, event crew as well as Sportable internal development teams. While you won’t be needed for every match, you will need to be on-call at times over the sporting season, across evenings and weekends.

**Main Responsibilities**:
**Live Event Support**:

- Coordination and management of technical operations of live events, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.
- Collaborate with internal teams, event organizers and other technical staff to ensure smooth event delivery.
- Ensure that all work, health and safety requirements are fulfilled.

**Hardware and Software Support**:

- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and update hardware and software inventory, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Contribute to the QA process with new release of software, firmware and hardware.

**Networking**:

- Set up and manage network infrastructure for events, including wired and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies.

Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned on a case-by-case basis.

**Essential skills / experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered).
- Proven experience (minimum two years) in technical support (DevOps), system administration, and networking.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work and solve problems in high pressure environments.

**Desirable skills / experience**:

- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Linux+, or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
- Experience in live event production and technical coordination.
- Understanding of the use of technology in Australian sports and broadcasting.
- Knowledge of data analysis methodologies and tools (e.g. PowerBI)
- Exposure to asset management processes and systems.
- Knowledge of configuration management principles (e.g. ITIL).
- Awareness of cloud technologies, standards and best practices.
- Full (or provisional) driving license.

- Proactively and independently looks to solve problems, working independently with mínimal guidance, quickly adapting to new challenges as they arise.
- Can work under pressure, managing multiple tasks, often with severe time constraints
- Able to maintain a professional network.
- Comfortable moving equipment around different venues (often outdoors, in various conditions).
- Willingness to travel when required.

**Working hours & travel**:

- While this a full-time role, it won’t typically be Monday to Friday, especially when the sports are in season. It will require contributing to evening meetings with our international team or providing support to match delivery in the evening, on weekends, and public holidays.
