**About The Opportunity**:
GF is growing and still investing in a time of uncertainty. Specifically, we are focussing on extensive growth and investment in capital projects in our Product and Development team. As such, we are seeking the best talent to deliver our growth aspirations. We're currently looking for a people driven, strategic, and engaging Product Development Manager to look after a diverse Sweet Grocery portfolio and to lead a high performing product development team.
The Product Development Manager - Sweet Grocery will be the Product Development lead for a portfolio of projects and will provide key leadership for our Sweet Grocery pillar. As part of a cross functional team, this role is responsible for launching new products/packaging into various categories for Goodman Fielder. This role will provide coaching and support to a product development team, and be an integral member of the R&D function - driving high performance and the R&D culture within GF.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Provide R&D thought leadership as part of the Sweet Grocery Leadership Team to ensure we meet our aspirations
- Lead development of new products to agreed Briefs, value engineering of existing product, tender process &/or change of suppliers, shelf life testing and support Capital projects.
- Ensure product development processes & regulatory constraints/opportunities are considered when developing products
- Design deliver and report on any test baking, factory trials, shelf life testing or nutritional testing, documenting and interpreting all data generated.
- Partner with Operations & Engineering teams to enable project delivery
- Coach and support team members to deliver their goals and reach their full potential
- Develop project timelines and key milestones with business stakeholders highlighting and communicating risks appropriately. Proactively seek solutions for risk mitigation
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of all key development activities, including raw material & finished product specifications, factory trial reports and SAP data.

About You
- 5+ years' experience in Product Development Management role in FMCG
- Ability to manage large, complex R&D projects and portfolios in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment
- Advanced internal & external stakeholder management.
- Analytical, Project Management, Problem Solving, Commercialisation Experience
- Highly motivated, results driven, independent, self-disciplined, demonstrating ownership
- Degree qualified (Food Tech/Science)
