**About the role**:
Over more than a decade, Coles has demonstrated its commitment to providing opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations, communities, and customers to engage with our business.
A new opportunity as Indigenous Affairs Advisor - Relationships & Communications has arisen. This is a dynamic role for someone who is passionate about supporting Indigenous and First Nations communities, skilled in event planning and communications, and confident in fostering meaningful engagement and participation.

**What you'll be doing**:
Reporting to the Head of Indigenous Affairs, and in line with RAP commitments, you’ll:
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on RAP initiatives and Indigenous Affairs issues.
- Plan and execute activities around key events such as NRW and NAIDOC week.
- Work with RAPSC and RAPWG to ensure members participation in key events.
- Develop and roll out self-identification programs.
- Lead FNTMN and Allies networks to build greater focus on IA opportunities.
- Ensure relevant strategies are distilled into practical and feasible delivery plans.

**What you bring**:
You’ll have 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in program and event management with experience writing, designing and publishing effective communication materials on various media platforms.
Bringing a high level of written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and report writing skills, you’ll have experience in First Nations community and stakeholder engagement and/or community development / social program delivery.
**You’ll also need**:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural team environments
- Ability to interpret, analyse and communicate data.
- Connection to First Nations communities.
- Ability to work under limited supervision (includes attention to detail and ability to prioritise).
