We are currently seeking dynamic and passionate individuals to join our Casual pool of Support Workers to deliver NDIS services within the
**Melbourne metro** region.

**About the program**

Through our NDIS services, WISE provides supports for participants with current funding in their NDIS plans. WISE specialises in the following areas of services and support for participants:

- Social and Recreational Activity
- Capacity Building in life and employment
- School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)

**The role**

***
The role of a Support Worker has a strong focus (but is not limited to) engaging participants in the Community. Support Workers will engage with participants and support them with their individualised plans and goals. This may include building connections within the community; assisting the person to attend a community event; identifying job interests, exploring work through supported voluntary work placements and learning to use public transport.

**What we are looking for**
- Qualifications and/or experience in; Community Services, Disability and/or Youth Work will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience working with young people with a disability either in a professional environment or may be demonstrated through non-professional means or life experience;
- A sound understanding of disability and the effect on social relationships, independent living, daily needs, physical health, vocational and employment needs of these clients;
- Possess excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, as well as negotiation and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to identify, organise and utilise relevant resources effectively;
- Ability to function as a constructive and collaborative member of a small cohesive team;
- Demonstrates qualities of empathy, compassion and integrity;
- Full Australian working rights, ability to satisfy national police check, NDIS Worker Screening clearance and Working with Children Check requirements
- Double vaccinated against COVID 19
- **Possess a current driver's license and own transport**
