Melbourne Disability Services are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mental Health Support Workers to join our team on full-time, part-time or casual basis.

The Position

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will deliver a variety of services to participants to support them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life and to develop independent living skills in everyday life in their shared living environment.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 3 year experience as a Mental Health Support Worker

  • Experience in supporting participants with:

  • Behaviours of concern

  • Complex medical needs
  • Mental health & psychosocial disabilities
  • Suicidal ideation & self-harm risk

  • Proven ability to:

  • Follow risk management and safety plan effectively

  • Adhere to medication management protocols

  • Certifications and requirements:

  • Mealtime Management training

  • Mental Health First Aid with CPR certification
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills
