National Procurement Manager

**Main Responsibilities, Key points about this role**:

- True Procurement role
- being able to identify opportunity and implement better processes and structure when it comes to the procurement process
- continuous improvement focus
- Working with suppliers in the manufacturing and transport/logistics space (Steel, Freight etc)
- Manage stakeholders from Planning phase through Sourcing and till Management phase of the procurement lifecycle
- Implement program level processes and standards for procurement - including procurement strategy, sustainability strategy, cost management (contract perspective)
- Reporting on procurement performance - contestability, probity, value for money and sustainability - to senior leadership team
- Ensuring key suppliers are in fact, supplying Stramit.
- Conducting major review of suppliers every financial year (or per contractual agreements)
- Weekly, monthly, quarterly cadence
- reviews, pick up opportunities for savings
- Mentor and manage a team of procurement professionals to deliver on initiatives to increase the momentum of program delivery

**Stramit is open to this role being based in either Knoxfield, Victoria OR Crestmead, Queensland
**To be considered for this role, we need from you**:

- Experience in similar role and industry to be able to hit the ground running (but still with a proper induction and training into the world of Stramit and Fletcher building)
- Advanced negotiation skills with excellent stakeholder engagement
- Proven experience of implementing structure and governance across a business
- Experience in working with large scale suppliers
- working with suppliers who have contracts within the hundreds of millions as well as smaller customers.
- Collaborative team member with exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong leadership with proactiveness to get into the details while mentoring and uplifting the team capability
- Safety driven mentality
- Full working rights in Australia (unrestricted)
