**DETAILS ABOUT THE ROLE & PROGRAM**
**Key Responsibilities**
The Case Manager, Changing Ways program, will work as part of a team that provides intensive casework intervention for adults who are assessed as being at ‘serious risk’ of using violence (under the MARAM framework) and to support the safety and wellbeing of their partners, children and other family members impacted by their violence.
**The Case Manager is responsible for**:
- Providing high quality and culturally appropriate case management support for Serious Risk program clients
- Maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, information sharing and collaboration with
MARAM accredited partner agencies, other service providers and other Dardi teams
- Facilitate and support serious-risk offenders and partners, children and other family members impacted by violence attending other services according to assessed needs and requirements of case plans
- Participation in multi-agency risk assessment and monitoring (utilising the family violence
Central Information Point) for victims/survivors impacted by violence and adults who use
violence who are referred to the program
- Engagement of serious-risk offenders in intensive case work designed to address identified risk factors as well as individual goals
- Engagement of partners, children and other family members impacted by violence in case work to address risk factors, needs and goals
- Collaboration with internal Dardi programs to facilitate pathways to ongoing healing and behaviour change support for men who use violence and partners, children and other family members impacted by violence where appropriate
- Working with clients to develop Exit Plans (addressing housing, education/employment, health and wellbeing) and step-down support
- Development and monitoring of case plans, capture of program data and preparation of information for program reporting as required
**Key Organisational Accountabilities**
- Adhere to the Dardi Munwurro Code of Conduct and values at all times
- Participation in the MARAM Perpetrator training program (after commencement) and the Serious Risk Program Practice Guidance training
- Support and participate in Dardi Munwurro’s strategic planning
- Ensure appropriate use of resources
- Participate in debriefing and supervision support as required
- Demonstrated commitment to community participation and ongoing engagement with clients
- Carry out duties in a manner that does not negatively affect yours and the individual’s own safety or others by following the agreed procedures, reporting all incidents, injuries, near misses, as well as cooperating with any measures introduced in the workplace to improve
Work Health & Safety
- Participate in the revision and development of corporate policies and procedures
- Participate in Dardi Munwurro meetings and training, as required
- While at work, comply with requirements as noted in the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004
- Meet all the legislative requirements related to the position
**Key Selection Criteria - Qualifications, skills and essential competencies**
- Case management experience and/or a qualification in psychology, social work, criminal justice or other related fields
- Demonstrated understanding of the underlying issues that contribute to Aboriginal men perpetrating family violence
- Ability to provide trauma-informed and culturally safe support to all members of a family impacted by violence
- Demonstrated understanding of the impacts of violence on family members (including partners, children, parents, siblings and Elders) and the barriers to victim survivors reporting violence and accessing suppo
