About the Role

As an Operational Risk Associate in the Non-Financial Risk Team, you’ll play a key role in helping Australia Commercial in the Delivery of operational risk and governance uplift.

In conjunction with the Divisional Assurance Oversight Lead, this role is responsible for supporting:
Delivery of operational risk and governance uplift across Australia Commercial
Development and execution of treatment plans across Australia Commercial
Assistance in creating reporting for risk management forums for Commercial Strategic Delivery as well as reporting for Commercial Risk Day as required
Non-Financial risk adoption and ongoing day 2 activities
Monitoring of risks and governance for Commercial Strategic Delivery
Embedding and supporting divisional risk management processes to increase the risk maturity and culture within Australia Commercial

What will your day look like?

**As an Operational Risk Associate, you will**:
Providing support to Australia Commercial Risk Owners by engaging with the respective businesses, and the broader Operational Risk and Compliance teams across Australia Commercial in relation to Operational Risk and Compliance matters and completing engagement and calibration with Retail and Institutional.
Collaboration with the different businesses within Australia Commercial, Assurance, Operational Risk and Compliance teams in relation to monitoring operating risk and compliance key risks.
Assisting with the design and embedding of business process and controls to effectively manage and address operational risks and key compliance matters.
Assisting in engagement with other areas in relation to completing regulatory attestations, including Australia Retail, Operational Risk and Compliance and Group.
Supporting the development and execution of risk issues across Australia Commercial and supporting, where necessary, risk issues across the different Business Units within Commercial.
Developing appropriate frameworks and execute plans to ensure regulatory requirements are met and Non-Financial risk is managed consistently.
Delivery of elements of the Non-Financial Risk Transformation program and related activities.
Actively raise process improvement ideas to ensure processes and procedures are clear and focus on eliminating operational/reputational risks and financial risks for the customer.
Provide SME support to change management, process and project initiatives.
