This role forms part of the Divisional Assurance Oversight (DAO) team. The Operational Risk Lead supports members of the DAO team in delivering the Non-Financial Risk Transformation (NFRT) Program, including CPS230 where it impacts Australia Commercial. The role focuses on delivery of Release 5 and Day 2 activities of the NFRT as well as leading the Assurance engagement across Commercial Strategic Delivery.

What will your day look like?
**This role is accountable for**:
Ensuring that milestones and commitments are met in line with the agreed project plan and objectives of the NFRT program.
Leading and managing a team to implement key deliverables to meet project milestones and commitments.
Liaising directly with key stakeholders
- Risk, Assurance, Divisional Performance Execution and Business segments
- to drive forward control gap remediation, ensuring greatest business value is achieved meeting Commercial business objectives and having the right customer outcomes.
Ensuring solutions delivered out of the risk issues are sustainable, efficient, operate within the Group framework and improve risk maturity and culture across Australia Commercial.
Ensuring a focus on uplifting the automated preventative control environment for the division by driving the right conversations at the right time.
Driving improvement in risk capability/culture/awareness and promote operational risk management as a core capability across all segments.
Partnering with Commercial Strategic Delivery teams to support them in delivering their own risk management accountabilities (e.g. Non-Financial Risk Assessments, events, treatments, audit, risk forums) via provision of input, expertise, coaching and guidance.
Maturing risk management ecosystem, including proactively identifying and responding to internal/external influences at a segment/ divisional level.
