**Job Description Summary**: Opportunity to join our Transport team and provide support to our customers through effective coordination with our 3PL network.

**Purpose of role**:To provide timely support and service to our customers through the effective coordination with our 3PL network

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Schedule outbound customer shipments for assigned DC(s) while utilizing SAP and BD's Transportation Management System to select an appropriate carrier to meet BD's customer requirements.
- Manage the outbound transportation routing and scheduling for BD customers across Australia and New Zealand.
- Work closely with project managers to organize time sensitive(WGF) bookings.
- Work closely with the 3PL partners in organizing and scheduling freight, providing shipment details as per plan to ensure freight moves in the most cost-effective manner
- Proactively identify gaps and contribute to the process of establishing controls resulting in zero compliance issues
- Prepare mostly reports for Management reporting on freight out spends across vendors, exceptional freight spends etc.
- Be the single point of contact with freight vendors for day-to-day management of outbound operations and organizing ad hoc requirements
- Work closely with the carriers in understanding and circulating Rate Cards and anticipated increase/ change in charges and invoice validations.
- Work closely with carriers to understand carrier system capability as a part of total transport system architecture including integration of data and functionality. etc.
- Proactively work with the DC and customers on any complaints and issues reported and ensure an RCA is completed and corrective actions are implemented for all issues raised
- Manage various transportation Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Monthly freight accrual and analysis of freight spend
- Reverse logistics management

**Specific Knowledge and Experience requireds**
- Up to 5 years of transportation, supply chain or related experience
- Excel and SAP to extract and interpret data.
- Ability to multi-task and deal with high pressure environments
- Proactive
- Strong Attention to detail
- High Volume experience preferred
- Team player who can work collaboratively
- Problem solving skills and solutions orientated

- End-to-end SC management/function
