**About the team**

The Safety, Environment and Regulation (SER) division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.

Within SER is the Security, Crisis & Emergency Management Team (SCEM) whose primary role and purpose is to partner with, prepare and enable all divisions in protecting Transport for NSW - our people, our customers, and our assets -and enabling the continued delivery of essential services for the people of NSW.

The SCEM branch represents the Transport Cluster at the state emergency level and ensures we meet our obligations when it comes to all thing’s security, crisis and emergency.

We pride ourselves on transforming data, embracing new technology and working in partnership to more effectively coordinate and respond to security, crisis and emergency management events.

When an emergency response is stood up via the Transport Services Functional Area Coordinator (TSFAC) the Senior Manager Communications & Engagement within SCEM Operations stands up as the TSFAC Communications Coordinator. The TSFAC Communications Coordinator coordinates and provides an information sharing forum for communication teams across the cluster to access and share information during an emergency event.

**The opportunity**

We have a Fixed Term opportunity (to 30.6.24) for a **Manager Emergency Communications and Stakeholder Engagement **to join the SCEM and specifically the Communications team to manage the development, implementation and maintenance of strategic emergency and crisis communications for the Security, Crisis and Emergency Management Branch and support whole of cluster communication strategic priorities.

**About you**

As the Manager Emergency Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, you will have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills which you have gained throughout your career in similar roles.

Your ability to be reactive and “hit the floor running” along with your strong capacity for creativity and design will equip you well for this role as you assist in the development and enablement of innovative ways to communicate across a large number and diverse audiences, quickly and efficiently.

Ideally you will have had experience in a combat style agency including police or other emergency services and used to working in a large matrix environment.

Proven campaigns development App knowledge and development skills are highly desirable.

You will be a team player with the ability to manage a large and wide variety of stakeholders both internal and external to TfNSW including Police, Rural Fire Services, SES and Dept of Health as well as the community of NSW.

This is an exciting role with a mix of BAU and crisis communication which will suit a positive energetic individual who thrives under pressure and is ready, willing and able to act on something new at moment’s notice and commit to sometimes long intense periods of activity.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 9 ($142,178) - ($159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
