Lead Civil Designer

Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Civil Designer to join our team in our Brisbane office.

**About the role**
- Provide process plant platform, access road, drainage and associated infrastructure design knowledge and supervision of civil project design team while working on deliverables.
- Prepare, review and sign off on layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
- Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards by coordinating and supervising project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements.
- Plan, organize and coordinate technical aspects of one or more projects.
- Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by adhering to Ausenco design drafting standards and reviewing design drafting produced by less experienced Designers.
- Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, regularly communicating with the Lead Civil Engineer and addressing issues in a timely manner.
- Commitment to mentoring and supporting less experienced Designers.

**About you**
- A minimum of 10 years experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, and Drainage design in a relevant industry
- Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering desirable.
- Extensive experience in AutoCAD, 12D and/or Civil 3d is mandatory.
- Well developed written and oral communication skills
- Multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge and experience
- Some experience developing junior and intermediate Design staff
- Ability to think laterally to overcome issues
- Able to work and communicate in a team environment
