DT Infrastructure has been entrusted with the crucial role of managing the design and construction of the maintenance facility at Ormeau. The Ormeau facility will not only support rail manufacturing and maintenance in Queensland but also contribute to the success of the Cross River Rail project and the upcoming 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

**About the role**:
The role of Indigenous Engagement Advisor is to build capability across DT Infrastructure to position our operations for project and contractual performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within Aboriginal Traditional Owner groups, Aboriginal organisations, Land Councils and other affiliated community organisations.
- Build organisational capability to foster increased cultural competence and inclusive business performance.
- Provide specialist advice and support to HR and operational teams on matters relating to community consultation and Aboriginal heritage and culture.
- Evaluate a range of opportunities to ensure that potential Aboriginal engagement programs provide a recognition of community expectations, that are managed and there is both company and community ownership of programs and their expected outcomes.
- Where required, Represent DTI with Community, industry bodies, employment agencies, education providers to identify areas of mutual benefit and promote DTI’s activities to a wider audience.
- Post contract award, work with operations and contract managers to implement and monitor planned objectives and KPIs

**About you**:

- Cert III or above Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline preferred (Aboriginal Studies or other)
- Experience in the delivery of community-oriented programs, particularly in relation to Indigenous people and communities.
- Experience in providing support and guidance to teams within a corporate structure, meet set objectives and be forward thinking in innovative ways to improve processes to compliment both community and company.
- Experience in understanding timeframes and deadline commitments associated with set KPI’s on project delivery.
- High level of personal Cultural Competency and a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strat Islander People and Businesses.
- Strong network within the Aboriginal Community and associated NGO’s and agencies. Experience working in a Corporate business, Government or Community environment specialising in Indigenous affairs.
