QA Analyst

Telstra Health operates the National Cancer Screening Register on behalf of the Australian Government. The register is a digital platform that enables a single electronic record for Australian’s who participate in screening for cervical and bowel cancer. It helps improve cancer screening outcomes for individuals by inviting and reminding eligible participants when they are due for screening, and by providing screening histories to a patient’s healthcare provider to help inform appropriate care.

Working within the technical team, the Test Analyst will be responsible to ensure the quality of our software products reaches the standards expected by the customer ensuring their continued satisfaction with Telstra Health.

**Key accountabilities**
- Participate in the software development lifecycle end to end, from concept to release, deployment and support.
- Set-up and execute system, integration, regression and performance testing.
- Review functional specifications/user stories to determine test requirements for new features/enhancements.
- Investigate test result discrepancies and verify the defect fixes.
- Summarise and report the defects discovered during the execution of test cases / scripts, scenarios.
- Develop and maintain test cases/user stories or test scenarios for system, functional, integration, regression and performance testing.
- Automating progression and regression testing.
- Suggest process and quality enhancements and help drive product and test requirements for improved diagnostics, and work with development team on analysis of code hotspots, test coverage, and defect discovery and resolution.
- Work with limited supervision.
- Keeps abreast of new technology and consider using it where appropriate.
- Provides guidance and direction to other developers.

**About you**
- 5-8 years in a QA Analyst and/or Senior QA Analyst role.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience in functional testing, smoke testing, API testing and end-to-end testing and knowledge in performance, load testing, security testing is desirable.
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Ability to write technical documentation.
- Strong trouble shooting skills.
- Experience with any DB tool like MS SQL server.
- Experience with Tosca or Selenium or any other automation tool
- Experience with Web service test tools like Postman
- Knowledge of CI/CD.
- Be open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into process improvement.
