**High level of the role**

Aegros has a newly created opportunity for a Head of Development to join the Development Section of the Membrane Technology Division in the R&D Department in developing new membranes, materials and integrated membrane cartridges and systems used in the advanced manufacturing of therapeutic products. Reporting to the Global Chief Science & Technology, this pivotal role will be critical in building and leading the Membrane Technology Development team to achieve our Consumables operating objective determined by the CEO of Aegros Consumables. You will work closely with key stakeholders in the consumables operations team to understand needs, be on hand to trouble shoot and liaise with the operations and engineering team to bring the new developed products to commercialization.

**Daily tasks will include**
- **Managing and assigning team members to provide GMP & production supports to Aegros Consumables, including but not limited Performing Stability, Flushing and Hold Time studies, and extend their duration**
- Preparing and writing specifications, SOP/WI, and Tech Transfer documents
- Developing QC test methods
- Performing safety and quality improvements of the membrane technology products and their production.
- Technology transfer
- **Leading the team and developing new processes to optimise the technology including but not limited to**:

- Cost reduction, Cartridge performance in use, Membrane casting, cutting and assembly
- **Lead projects to develop new approaches including but not limited to**:

- Heat mitigation, New cartridge design test support, Membrane Freeze/Thaw stability, Sterilization stability, Cartridge regeneration during production runs
- Working closely with operations and engineering team to bring the new developed products to commercialization. Assisting in managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio and contribute to developing effective IP strategies that are aligned with the Company’s business objective.

- **Training and mentoring the team**

**Requirements**:

- PhD in materials science with at least 5 years industrial experience, or at least 10 years industrial experience without a PhD.
- At least 5 years past experience with managing a team of scientists in an industrial setting is an essential requisite.
- Project management experience.
- Experience in working with the advanced manufacturing preferably in relevant field
- Experience in materials science, assembly of complex systems,
- Materials science, relevant engineering disciplines
- Knowledge of GMP and production
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to work to deadlines and to prioritize workload accordingly
