**The Role**:
If you are passionate about using your strategic communications skills to build brand and reputation among employees and external stakeholders, this is your chance to bring this to life and deliver innovative and impactful communications and engagement programs which demonstrate how Shell is powering progress in Australia.
**Where you fit in**
The world is changing fast and Shell is changing, too - not only to keep up with the external pace, but also to anticipate and shape a different future. Shell’s Corporate Relations function delivers value by supporting our strategy and sectoral approach to decarbonisation. We bring the outside in and drive Shell’s reputation and values. Drawing on a strong base of professional excellence, we aspire to be best-in-class at achieving integrated outcomes through effective engagement and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
In this Corporate and Internal Communications Advisor role, you will develop and implement internal and external communications activities which inform and engage employees and external stakeholders on how Shell is delivering against its strategy and making a positive contribution to society. With a strong focus on internal communications, you will provide strategic guidance to business leaders on strengthening employee engagement and motivation across Shell’s diverse, geographically dispersed workforce of 2,000+ staff across Australia, from office-based employees to frontline workers on shift rosters. You will manage internal channels and activities such as leadership messages, change management communications and staff townhalls and virtual engagements.
As a Corporate Communications all-rounder, you will also support external communications activities such as developing creative content and campaigns, coordinating corporate sponsorships, partnerships and brand activations, and managing exhibitions and events.
**What’s the role?**
More specifically, you will be entrusted with the following:
- Develop and implement strategic internal and external communications programs and activities which engage employees and external stakeholders on delivery against the business strategy.
- Build and maintain trusted and collaborative relationships with business leaders.
- Guide and coach leaders on effective employee engagement strategies and tactics.
- Develop and implement internal communications change management programs for key projects.
- Translate business priorities into compelling content and messaging for a range of internal and external channels, such as leadership messages, presentations and intranet and website content.
- Support external communications activities such as corporate sponsorships and partnerships, creative content and campaigns, thought leadership platforms, speaking opportunities and events.
- Develop creative content such as film, photography and infographics to communicate complex projects and technical information in an appealing and digestible way for a mix of audiences.
- Manage thirty party suppliers such as communications and content production agencies, ensuring quality delivery against service level agreements.
- Collaborate with the broader Corporate Relations team to deliver timely, relevant and seamless communications and engagement activities.
- Support other projects and activities as defined by the Corporate Communications and Internal Communications Manager.
**What we need from you**
We are keen to speak to professionals with the following:
- A Corporate Communications all-rounder with substantial experience in developing and implementing internal and external communications programs and activities.
- Strong business partnering, stakeholder management and communications skills.
- Ability to understand business strategy, including complex financial and technical information, and translate this into clear and consistent communications materials for a mix of audiences.
- Proven track record in developing tailored, audience-first content for a range of channels.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines.
- Creative flair and excellent writing, proof reading and editing skills.
- Experience in managing third-party suppliers such as creative and content production agencies.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Strong communicator, collaborator and integrator.
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, Media, Marketing or Journalism, or relevant professional experience in a similar industry.
