Our Values: Be proactive – Value others – Work together - Contribute positively – Be transparent.
About Us Container Exchange (COEX) is the not-for-profit organisation appointed to manage and grow QLD's Containers for Change refund scheme. Our purpose is to reduce beverage container litter, increase recycling efforts and provide community benefit. Our vision that 'no container goes to waste' reflects real commitment to a truly circular economy, one where every eligible container is recovered, recycled and reinvested. Since 2018 we've kept over 10 billion containers out of landfill, returning over $1 billion in 10c refunds to Queenslanders
The Role: As our Corporate Communications Advisor you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering communication and engagement plans that brings COEX's strategy to life. Reporting to the Corporate Communications Lead, you'll partner closely with internal stakeholders and work alongside media, PR, marketing and stakeholder engagement colleagues to create high quality and engaging communications aligned to both internal and external audiences. Key responsibilities:
• Partner with internal teams to align communications with strategic objectives.
• Develop and deliver high quality communications plans that engage stakeholders and enhance COEX's reputation.
• Create compelling content including key messages, web and intranet copy, social media posts, EDMs, presentations, and multimedia assets.
• Design feedback tools and analyse metrics to measure communication effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Create, proof and edit content across channels, ensuring consistency with brand, tone and governance standards.
Who You Are: You're a confident communicator with a background in media, PR or communications. Our values are at the heart of our exceptional culture. We are looking for team members who share these and are eager to be part of a team that brings them to life. To the role you bring:
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a communications role, with proven success in business partnering.
• Strong digital communications experience (e.g. Mailchimp, EventsAir, Canva, Microsoft tools).
• Experience in developing audience centric content across formats and platforms including digital, print and social media.
• Experience developing and executing integrated communication plans including digital communication campaigns, content marketing and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field (preferred).
• Eligibility to hold a Blue Card.
If you're looking for your next development role within a supportive and collaborative team we'd love to hear from you.
COEX has been certified by Great Place To Work Australia, a recognition that reflects both the incredible culture and passion our team brings every day. We are also very proud to have achieved official Inclusive Employer status, awarded by Diversity Council Australia.
