Brisbane, Australia Transport and Main Roads Full time

The Principal Advisor will focus primarily on management and delivery of projects and contracts under the Camera Detected Offence Program including new installations and technologies, as well as activities supporting continuous delivery of existing products. Demonstrated experience in project and stakeholder management in challenging and technical environments is desirable. Formal qualifications are not mandatory. Flexible work arrangements are available for this position.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Conducting high level strategic policy research and development that reflects good practice nationally and internationally, responding to government priorities and contributing to improved road safety outcomes for the community.
- Contributing to the management of the Camera Detected Offence Program through research, evaluation, policy development, program support and project management.
- Establish and manage projects and contracts to meet organisational objectives and for successful delivery of the Camera Dected Offence Program, including responsibility for risk management, procurement, reporting, governance, financial and stakeholder deliverables.
- Provide strategic and authoritative advice to support informed decision making on a range of high level road safety strategic policy and legislative issues.
- Build and maintain strategic networks and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and obtain input from stakeholders in the preparation of high level advice.
- Oversee a small work team responsible for the preparation of high level documents including cabinet submissions, options papers, reports, briefings and sensitive correspondence.
- Develop operational plans for the assigned team, manage implementation, monitor progress and report on performance.
- Take personal responsibility to deliver on agreed outcomes, model high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour; contribute actively to corporate and divisional goals.
