**About the role**

As a National Workforce Planner, you will ensure the timely and effective preparation of all operational terminal employee rosters nationally. Your role will have a strong focus on workforce planning and contribute to adding value to the business operations across Australia.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have previous experience in a labour or resource planning role or have experience in any similar role in the transport and logistics industry. You will need strong time management and communication skills and be a team player who remains calm under pressure.

As this is a year-round business, you will be able to work business hours on any day of the week which includes public holidays as required and some weekends on a rotating basis.

In this role your main responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring effective and timely rostering for all operational terminal employees across Australia
- Managing all leave requests and prepare and help administer the annual leave plan for Enterprise Agreement employees nationally
- Providing recommendations and participating in workforce planning and labour cost minimisation
- Ensuring the incumbent rostering system is maintained, and kept up to date whilst ensuring accuracy of all employee details are maintained in the relevant systems
- Effective management of all relevant correspondence and tasks relating to the role.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

- Previous experience in a planning or scheduling role, preferably in a transport, logistics, aviation or maritime related environment
- Understanding of workforce planning and rostering
- Experience in working with and interpreting Enterprise Agreements and Awards
- Familiarity in the use of software and computer systems
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teamwork
- Be methodical and demonstrate an excellent attention to detail
- Be an innovative, pro-active and results orientated person
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and remain cool under pressure
- Ability to work Monday to Friday (including public holidays) and some weekends on a rotating basis
- Tertiary or industry related qualification(s) is desired but not essential
- Experience in continuous improvement and quality control will be highly regarded
