**About the role**:
You will be leading the retail, tourism, airport and alliance marketing partnership strategy to drive profitable revenue and to achieve Virgin Australia’s marketing objectives. You will lead the strategic development and go to market plans for B2C retail marketing and will lead the domestic and international tourism, airport and alliance portfolio with regard to direct-to-consumer marketing and communications. You will also be responsible for leading a high performing team with three direct reports that deliver brand and revenue outcomes, exceed customer expectations and contribute to sustainable business growth.
In addition to these duties, but not limited to:
- Lead delivery of retail strategy for VA in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Drive the value proposition and communication strategy of VA’s price position and fare choices
- Position VA as the airline partner of choice in the domestic market
- Own and drive paid retail, tourism and alliances campaigns for VA in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring ROI and value delivered in multiple markets
- Utilise tourism and alliance partnerships to drive market share in key markets
- Lead positive industry partner relationships to drive VA growth and contribution to the visitor economy
- Involvement in ad hoc marketing team project work as required on small, medium & large projects (i.e. launch of new route)
**You’ll be great in this role if you**:
- Strong people leadership skills and ability to engage across all levels of the business
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Commerce or related field
- Extensive retail and e-commerce experience
- Deep knowledge on strategic development and execution of a brand, retail and campaign marketing strategy.
- Strong understanding of audience management, consumer segmentation and personalisation.
- Strong understanding of paid media channel performance and KPIs including digital.
- Demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management and building rapport with key partners
- Robust digital campaign management and proven experience in driving digital media effectiveness.
- Experience developing strategy, especially in relation to retail and partners.
