The company is a well-established Global Freight Forwarder located in Redfern. They are currently seeking an experienced Import Operator - Customer Service Representative to manage end-to-end operations & customer service duties for import Air & Sea (LCL, FCL, FAK) shipments. They offer a great team environment, onsite parking is available and are offering a base + bonus salary package.

**Duties and responsibilities include**:

- First point of contact for client enquiries
- Building and maintaining client relationships
- Purchase order management
- Quotations / rate negotiations
- Updating rates (Autorating)
- Chasing documentation and ensuring correct paperwork is received
- Passing documentation on for customs clearance
- Job registration, Pre-alerts, EDO's, Underbonds
- Monitoring cargo availability, status & check transshipments
- Sea/Air cargo reporting
- Paying charges / Organise EDO's
- Organising local & interstate road & rail movements
- Finalising invoices to clients and overseas agents
- Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, suppliers and internal staff

**The successful applicant should possess**:

- Cargowise EDI experience is highly desired
- Prior Import Sea Operations / Customer Service experience with a freight forwarder in the Australian market would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Time management skills, attention to detail and proficiency
