**About the Assignment**

The primary objective of this position is to support the Principal, Internal Communications & Change in the delivery of targeted internal communications activities, per the internal communications strategy, to support Santos wide communications initiatives.
- Support the internal communications team in the Implementation of the Santos internal communication strategy
- across a mix of channels that inform and engage employees.
- Draft and edit a high standard of written material within tight timeframes, for various channels and audiences - across written, video and audio for intranet, newsletters and company briefings.
- Develop effective relationships to support interpretation of internal communications messages relevant for various geographically and culturally diverse target audiences.
- Support embedding the new Santos Employee Value Proposition, working closely with the project team and Santos wide stakeholders, including the HR Business Partner community and senior leaders.
- Contribute to coordination of the Santos staff intranet, ensuring alignment to the internal communications strategy, and anticipated user experience.
- Work across the business, unearth company stories that can be celebrated and shared with our people.
- Provide expert advice to internal business leaders and project managers on the effective use of internal communication channels, as well as strategies to achieve their objectives.
- Ensure internal communications align with the established tone-of-voice and brand principles.
- Work closely with the external affairs team and community relations team, to ensure internal messaging aligned to external positioning.
- Support the company’s events team with internal communications materials where required.
- Brief and work closely with relevant external providers and internal marketing team to manage creative content development projects (graphic design, video production etc) in line with Santos brand requirements and the company’s strategic priorities.

This assignment is initially offered for 12 months with potential to extend, engaged via Chandler Macleod.

Location for this assignment is Santos Head Office in Adelaide.

**About You**
- Degree in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations (essential)
- Significant experience in a large corporate environment and with complex stakeholders
- Worked in roles supporting senior executives and/or board members
- Strong written, communication and influencing skills
- Expertise in use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, WordPress, and other CMS platforms
- Strong internal motivation to “get the job done”
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities and multiple tasks
