**About the Role**:
**We are seeking a passionate and skilled **Community Engagement Adviser** to join our dynamic Communications and Engagement team.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with internal DEW stakeholders to deliver impactful engagement and communications initiatives that enhance community understanding, support, and involvement in our projects.

The Community Engagement Adviser will provide engagement and communication support to internal stakeholders by delivering effective tactics and maintaining channels that foster community understanding, support, and involvement. The role involves developing and implementing engagement and activity plans aligned with best-practice community engagement principles, as well as supporting specialist projects across the department. Responsibilities may include managing and responding to media inquiries, creating media and social media opportunities, and contributing to strategic communication activities. Additionally, the role requires managing, monitoring, and evaluating communication initiatives while developing and maintaining engaging content for various media platforms.

**Contract**: Contract for up to 12 months

**Special Conditions**:

- Inter and intrastate and remote area travel is required, including travel in light aircraft.
- May be required to work outside of the normal hours of work.
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties

**Remuneration**: ASO5 - $85,790 min - $95,413 max p.a.
