**The Opportunity**

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Data Governance Framework, which includes defining the strategy, objectives, roles and responsibilities, shared definitions, policies, standards, procedures, and technologies that support informed data-driven decisions across Transgrid.

This position leads the delivery of comprehensive data governance across Transgrid including the development and delivery of the data catalogue, data quality, data literacy and data loss prevention programs.

The role will also raise the organisation’s level of data literacy and foster a data-driven culture, in support of delivering measurable business outcomes, educate business teams on data governance, clarifying what it encompasses and the role each team member plays in its implementation.

**About you**
- 7+ years of experience in data governance or data management role.
- Working knowledge ISO/IEC 38505 and with security and compliance standards, such as AESCSF, ISO 27001 and GDPR.
- Developed business acumen and senior management skills.
- Collaborative and decisive behaviour style.
- Developed negotiation and presentations skills.
- Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- Proven resource and people management skills.
- Engage, communicate and negotiate confidently using verbal, written and presentation skills, explaining complex technical matters in a way that a broad range of stakeholders can easily understand.
