**About the Role**:
Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sustainability Coordinator to assist the Manager, Sustainability with the development and implementation of sustainability programs across the organisation. In collaboration with others the Sustainability Coordinator will implement sustainability iniatives that support MP strategic direction and sustainability ambitions.
The role will involve collaboration with stakeholders across Melbourne Polytechnic departments and academic program areas to promote sustainability best practice, and foster a culture of environmental stewardship within the MP community.
**Duties**:
- With guidance from the Manager, Sustainability coordinate existing operational projects and implementation of new, innovative projects in line with the current and future sustainability targets
Supporting sustainability projects and initiatives across the organisation, with a focus on implementation and engagement
- Maintaining collection, collation, and reporting of sustainability data for internal and external reporting
- Interfacing with communications teams to produce collateral, communications, and related media.
- Develop and implement professional development opportunities to help embed sustainability into the organisations culture and operations
- Engaging and educating the Melbourne Polytechnic community to deliver internal sustainability initiatives to embed sustainability into operations, projects, and programs

**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Degree-qualified in environmental management, sustainability, or social science or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training in environmental management, sustainability, or social science.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and implementing sustainability projects.
- Strong skills in collecting, collating, and reporting sustainability data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce collateral and media related to sustainability.
- Ability to work effectively with communications teams to promote sustainability initiatives.
- Experience in developing and implementing professional development opportunities focused on sustainability.
- Ability to embed sustainability practices into organizational culture and operations.
- Proven ability to engage and educate a community on sustainability initiatives.
