The Land Engineering Agency (LEA) is structured into six Directorates to provide direct engineering support to Systems Program Offices (SPOs) through Engineering Professionals located within Land Domain Branches.

Specialised engineering services are provided from a centralised bureau comprising the Directorate of Systems Engineering and Integration (DSEI) and the Directorate of Prototype & Test Services (DPTS).

Through a network of engineers and technical officers, LEA supports SPOs of the CASG to ensure successful requirements development, acquisition and in, service support of materiel, offering services in engineering; testing and evaluation; design and development; and technical data management.

**About our Team**
The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) is an integral part of the Department of Defence. This group procures and maintains military equipment and supplies in the quantities and to the service levels that are required by Defence and approved by Government.

They will provide detailed technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. An APS6 Technical Specialist - Technical Professional may be a team coach or lead a team and be accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows. They are expected to be capable of building team capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit.

They will exercise the associated people and financial responsibilities to achieve work unit outcomes.

An APS6 Technical Specialist - Technical Professional will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
