The Allied Health Edit is a small service located in Maitland NSW offering a range of services including Speech Therapy, Early Childhood Intervention Specialists, and individualised Education support.
We are on the lookout for a superstar Social Worker to join our team and work towards our values of empowering our clients to reach their full potential. We want someone to provide the scaffold and support that clients of all ages need to begin the road to self-advocacy. This role includes a combination of in clinic, online and community work. You will be well supported by our experienced team to support our clients in a transdisciplinary model.
**Role Outline**
- Work within a small, supportive team, where working independently is as important as working collaboratively.
- Maintain accurate records, data, and information. As well as using established policies and procedures.
- Complete Functional Capacity Assessments ensuring adherence to NDIS policies and best Practice.
- Work with clients in a 1:1 or small group capacity, using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
- Be willing to learn and understand the requirements of the NDIS policies and work within those.
- Working with clients to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care and supports - using evidence-based practice.

**What you bring**
- A degree in Social Work and Eligibility for practising membership of Australian Association Social Workers Membership
- A neuroaffirming perspective, based on the social model of disability.
- A desire to advocate for individuals at any stage of their life.
- An understanding of psychosocial assessments.
- The ability to coordinate support services to support our client's needs.
- Experience working in the disability sector.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to take initiative.
- Demonstrated experience with task prioritisation and effective time management.

**Application Process**

2. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview
- Plan and coordinate support with the child and family that reflect strengths based and family centered approaches.
- Provide advocacy for clients engaging with external organisations that aligns with AASW Code of Conduct and TAHE Values.
- Deliver supports (including counselling) to children and families that lead to positive outcomes.
- Ensure that supports are clearly documented, coordinated, and communicated to families and internal and external stakeholders.
- Meet the responsibilities of your role including positive outcomes with children and families and, contributions to the team.
- Completing and reporting on suitable assessments for clients.
- Understanding, implementing and abiding by NDIS policies and procedures.
- Ensure required documentation is completed and submitted, according to individual timelines and due dates. I.e.., therapy plans, progress notes, progress reports and procedures related to **NDIS compliance**.
- Engage in fortnightly meeting at the employer's discretion to ensure best practice is taking place.
- Ensure required documents for employment are sustained including required credentials/accreditations and regulatory checks.
- Be familiar with and abide by any Code of Ethics as prescribed by any relevant governing bodies.
- Engage in required professional and personal development as well as regular supervision.
- Ensure compliance with set deadlines for completion of tasks.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
