**Ongoing Position 15.2 hours per week**

The RWH Clinical genetics team is made up of experienced Genetics Counsellors, Clinical Geneticists and Administrative staff, who are all committed to providing quality care to the patients of The Women's and Joan Kirner Women's and Children Hospital. As a member of this team you will be required to remain up to date in all developments in the area of reproductive genetics, you will have access to regular professional development and supervision and be committed to maintaining clinical registration with the HGSA.

**Your contribution**

Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:

- Provision of Genetic counselling to patients of the Clinical Genetics Service
- Timely and effective communication concerning patient care with other members of the health care team including specialist clinics and community providers
- Provision of education, written material and/or information forums as appropriate for consultants, hospital staff and health care providers
- Successfully meet annual CPD requirements for registration with the HGSA

**About you**

To be successful within this role you will need to have:

- Successful completion of a qualification in genetic counselling i.e. MSC Gen Coun
- Meet requirements to register for Board eligibility with Human Genetics Society of Australasia (HGSA)

**COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement***

**Influenza Vaccination Requirement**

In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.

As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza. Evidence of vaccination is required.
