**Business Manager ANZ - Nutrition**:
Our team in **Melbourne** currently has an opening for a **Business Manager ANZ - Nutrition**
Reporting to the Regional Commercial Director ANZ, you will be responsible for delivering the ANZ sales strategy, developing existing Principal base business in conjunction with relevant new market and complementary Principals/Products as well as managing a portfolio of assigned customers, improving customer relationships, and actively seeking new product and sales growth opportunities. You will have strategic agility, be commercially focussed with strong solutions-based selling skills and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and with cross-functional teams and be results driven. You will be a strong communicator and enjoy problem solving and being able to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks with a principal/customer focused approach.
**YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage defined Principal portfolios and act as the main contact to those Principals
- Plan and implement sales and marketing activities at a customer, market and supplier level through the effective management of the commercial team and with the close cooperation of functional Managers
- Operating as an effective leader, provide focus and direction to a commercial team of 6 direct reports
- Manage, build, and maintain strong relationships with key customers, key principals and other major stakeholders operating in the Food & Nutrition market including direct management of key principals and/or customers
- Support Brand Owner account management
- Coordinate the sales and product strategic alignment between Principal, customer and market
- Effective management of pricing and contract negotiations, stock levels, credit terms and debtor management
- Provide technical support and product training to commercial teams relevant to the principal / customer portfolio
- Develop and manage the strategic alignment of Principal strategies and marketing activities
- Develop and maintain Principal relationships
- Achieve budget targets as set by the business
- Manage overall Country financial performance of the Business Unit
- Co-ordinate the preparation of annual financial budgets and provide financial forecasting
- Lead the commercial team in setting and achieving regionally agreed budgeted sales and gross margin targets
**YOUR PROFILE**:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant postgraduate qualifications
- Minimum 10 + years’ experience in Food & Nutrition related industries with a significant proportion of this time spent in commercial roles
- Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience leading commercial teams with evidenced sales results and service excellence outcomes
- Working knowledge and experience in the chemical industry (raw materials) advantageous
- Working knowledge and experience of SAP and MRP systems
- Proven track record of leading change, improving engagement and delivering results
- Results orientated with strong solution-based selling skills
- Strong commercial and business acumen with demonstrated strategic agility
- Proven leadership skills with ability to coach, develop, mentor and inspire
- Must have a best practice continuous improvement and customer excellence mindset
- An agile, highly collaborative, and early adopter mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships; build credibility and trust with internal stakeholders and customers
- Strong persuasion and presentation skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills - active listener and outstanding communicator
- A strong work ethic, flexible in approach and supportive of others
- Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills and ability to work well as part of cross functional teams
- Ability to travel interstate, trans-tasman, APAC
