About the Role
TAs a Business Assurance and Compliance Manager you are a specialist responsible for supporting the value streams to fulfil its risk management responsibilities and deliver on its compliance initiatives. Key accountabilities include:
Partnering with your assigned Value Stream(s) to drive the right risk culture, develop a strong understanding of the stream’s needs and priorities to ensure operational, technology and compliance controls are built in up front.
Being a key member of a multidisciplinary risk enablement team who think about risk and compliance differently, provide practical and customer-oriented risk and compliance solutions and are trusted partners of the program.
Facilitating effective governance of key risk elements across relevant teams to empower teams to self-check and remediate.
Support management of regulatory change impacts to ANZ Plus.

What will your day look like?
Partner with the Value Stream Lead, Product Owners and your Business Assurance colleagues in the identification, assessment and management of risks and issues.
Bringing creativity by challenging what’s possible whilst keeping the safety and financial wellbeing of our customers at our core.
Develop a strong understanding of the teams’ needs and priorities to ensure risk and compliance is built into feature design.
Embedding awareness of risks, policies and obligations.
Facilitate escalation and recording of risk information as needed.
Risk & Controls Assessment - ensuring consistent documentation of risk information for both delivery and introduced risk.
Compliance Management - demonstrating compliance with obligations.
Reporting - enhancing risk reporting and ensuring material decisions are captured.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong expertise in risk management, assurance or operational excellence
Interest in or prior exposure to regulatory change / compliance programs
Ability to adopt market trends and optimise the way we manage risk, compliance and assurance
Strategic thinking coupled with strong execution and delivery focus
You’re interested in using data and insights to help drive decision making
Passionate and full of ideas on how we can leverage technology to automate and embed assurance.
Down to earth and self-aware, you’re keen to work in a team where there are no egos, just great people doing amazing work.
