This EXCCEDING 70 place centre is a unique heritage timber cottage which has been sympathetically converted to a Child Care Centre catering for 70 children per day.

This Centre is spit in two for the Nursery and Preschool children which has a cosy home environment with 6 seperate playrooms to maintain small grouping and caters for the 6 weeks to 6 years age group.

The Preschool is a heritage brick home which has also been converted to a Child Care Centre which caters for 29 children per day. The setting here has more of a classroom feel and caters for the 2 years to 6 years age group. These ‘boutique’ Centres are located in the North Sydney Council area and blend with the surrounding heritage streetscape.

**Your new Role**

The role of an 2IC is to support the nominated supervisor in delivering operational service and quality to our children, team members, and families. The 2IC will help lead the day-to-day operations ensuring that centre Quality Framework and WH&S requirements are met. A strong reliance on constructive communication and collaboration between the campus teams and families is a critical component of this role. The 2IC will be actively supporting the teams by supporting them on the floor as required.

Working in the Preschool Room as a responsible person (2IC) to the nominated supervisor in accordance with the requirements of Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care.

**Duties also include**
- To ensure children's wellbeing, learning needs and interests are addressed through a high quality education
- Meet and Greet families, children and visitors at the service
- Rostering, administration and enrolments
- Manage incoming/outgoing phone enquiries
- Assist the service manager with conducting tours
- Assist the service manager with interviews, phone screening, references and finalising new starters
- Manage family accounts
- Compliance documents within the service
- Assist on the floor when required
- Build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders

**Essential**
- Bachelor in Early Childhood Education; (NEW Grads ECT or WT ECT accepted)
- Current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Minimum 1 years experience in leadership role
- As a 2IC the ability to plan, implement and evaluate early childhood programs as required by the EYLF;
- Sound understanding of National Education and Care Services
- Regulation;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Working with Children Check number
