**Local and Indigenous Engagement Coordinator**

**What We Are Seeking**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the Civil Construction industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience with Indigenous communities and businesses
- Strong IT skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and within a team

**What To Expect In This Role**:

- Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders, subcontractors and suppliers to assist in driving Indigenous outcomes on projects, including procurement, cultural and community commitments
- Support Indigenous recruitment and develop strategies to increase employment, retention and training
- Mentor Indigenous trainees, apprentices and employees to maximise retention and career prospects
- Work with Indigenous Subcontractors to assist them in understanding the commercial requirements of projects
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to provide employment and training opportunities for Indigenous people seeking Cadetships, Scholarships, Apprenticeships, Traineeships and direct employment
- Work with the local community and internal stakeholders to celebrate Indigenous culture and education
- Support projects to develop capacity to meet Indigenous employment and procurement targets
- Provide reports and status updates on Indigenous employment, procurement and engagement targets
- Manage Government training fund administration
