Hi there. We are in need of a multi-skilled individual capable of performing both barista/allrounder work as well as bartending/cocktail work.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: This role requires a 6-day a week (approx 53hr) per week obligation.

Our cafe is located a stone’s throw from Melbourne’s CBD on the east side.

With a small-footprint, it hosts up to 30 patrons and has an avante-garde flair, relaxed ambience, and a solid assortment of regular professionally-oriented customers. We like to think that we deliver - and are often praised for doing so - East Melbourne's best coffee We also deliver a 'fresh daily' range of food items for our patrons.

THIS IS OFTEN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT.

We like to think we promote a relaxed and friendly work environment however with only 4 full-time staff (your role inclusive), your ability to self-manage, perform under pressure with mínimal assistance or guidance, and with a high capacity to perform as a team player is considered a priority.

The applicant will also (ideally) be capable of producing a standard set of cocktails, have a fundamental knowedge of wines and spirits, and be available some evenings to administer this role.
- Whilst we primarily seek a grounded ‘barista’/bartender' we also require someone capable and anticipatory enough to get involved with broader cafe duties, assisting the small work-team, including but not limited to:

- table clearing
- dishwasher prepping/unloading/polishing
- food-to-table delivery
- general house keeping
- coffee preparation/table delivery
- Other beverage production (milkshake/smoothie/fresh juices/etc)

Familiarisation with POS is essential.
Familiarisation with food preparation in a fast-paced hospitality environment highly sought.

Unfortunately due to the needs of the fast-paced work environment we can only accept persons with a high degree of fluency in english.
Whilst the hours are still under review they are likely to be very similar to the hours of 8am and 130pm Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will need to be negotiated but likely an 830 start with a night finish, and 10am through 830pm Saturday.

You will need to possess a Victorian RSA
Please also note that this is a casual roleIf you are on a student Visa this role would not suit you unless your visa allows unlimited work commitment.
