**We are currently looking for an experienced Allocator / Hire Coordinator to join a Transport & Plant Hire company in South Melbourne. This role comprises a mix of fast-paced inbound phone-based interaction with proactive planning & allocating subcontractors (Truck Drivers) to construction projects around Melbourne.**

**Importantly this role is pivotal in customer facing, ensuring professional and solution focused communication with site, external suppliers and both internal and external stakeholders.**

- Salary range between $80,000 to $100,000 + super
- Must have experience in Plant Hire

**Duties will include**:

- Deal with on-line and telephone enquiries and orders from customers to ensure all orders are interpreted and delivered to the specifications required
- Allocating subcontractors (Truck Drivers) to construction projects around Melbourne
- Process hires, off hires, transfers and exchanges
- Operate and maintain the daily diary recording of all equipment movements including the reporting of errors and discrepancies
- Liaise with Project Manager's to identify plant and equipment needs
- Arranging and reviewing hire contracts
- Review of rates/conditions for plant and equipment hire
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and other hire companies
- Negotiating where and when fleet or work can be transferred
- Ensuring Drivers are kept up to date on job requirements and daily schedule
- Notifying stakeholders of deviations to schedule or late delivery
- Daily administration - order processing, data entry

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate both professionally and casually
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and problem solve
- Clear communication with a professional phone manner
- Multi-tasking in a high-volume environment

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
