**Your new role awaits**:
The role encompasses the operational responsibility of the **South Coast of NSW, ACT and Riverina**. Aside from the accountability of achieving its targets, even more crucial is the Regional Manager’s ability to develop a team with strong safety values, ownership for the operational strategies and the ability to build a strong engagement culture with all staff and customers alike. Improving customer service through fleet availability, transport efficiencies and a strong Customer Service Centre will ensure the state’s ability to grow revenue and profitability in due course. A close relationship with the sales, service and transport team is paramount.

**Safety**:

- Lead the required improvements in the state’s safety performance from the front.
- Drive lead indicators and active participation rates to improve safe behaviour and risk awareness of the teams.
- Demonstrate a safety-first leadership style by consulting with your work force, promoting safe work practices, identifying and assessing workplace hazards and implementing appropriate control measures.

**Engagement**:

- Lead and inspire the operational team and branch network to develop improvement strategies and to deliver those as a team.
- Actively and consistently travel to your branches weekly to ensure you are developing your team to achieve agreed objectives through training and talent management.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment and mutual respect.

**Customer Service & Financial Performance**:

- Mentor and guide the operational teams to ensure achievement of set targets for Revenue, Cost, EBIT and customer service in line with company strategy.
- Maximise service improvements and drive a unified service delivery to the customer to harness opportunity for market growth
- Develop strategies for potential network and focus on supply chain optimisation.
- Drive operational projects aimed at improving profitability across the geography of NSW South and analysis of profit enhancement strategies.
- Run a proactive approach to key performance indicators, with particular focus on labour cost, maintenance efficiencies and transport cost across all branches.

**About you**:

- Strong people leadership skills and ability to set goals and get strategy buy in from all levels of the organisation. Ability to work across divisions and teams.
- Experience in developing a strong safety culture across a geographically spread environment.
- Proven track record showing improvements in safety lead and lag indicators.
- Ability to control and improve KPI and meet budget and forecast commitments.
- Strong business and commercial acumen and empathy.
