About the role

The ResourceSmart Schools Facilitator for the Hume region manages and delivers the ResourceSmart Schools program to schools in 12 Local Government areas in the region, including Mitchell, Murrindindi, Mansfield, Alpine, Towong, Wodonga, Indigo, Wangaratta, Benalla, Strathbogie, Greater Shepparto and Moira.

The facilitator supports schools in reducing resource use and GHG emissions while achieving educational outcomes. Responsibilities include coordinating activities to embed sustainability into school operations and curriculum, and inspiring and empowering the ResourceSmart Schools community to act on climate change.

This is a parental leave backfill position.

You will be able to deliver professional learning activities and stay up to date with educational trends to ensure the program remains relevant and innovative.

Specialist qualifications & key requirements for the role

- Current Victorian drivers' licence (mandatory – you will be required to travel throughout regional areas)

- A current Working with Children Check or current VIT registration is essential (mandatory)

- Qualifications in Education, Environment and/or Sustainability is desirable
